•Santa Ana Winds are predicted
•Wind gusts above 30mph are predicted
Fire - When to Evacuate
-
The City Will put us on alert as “set”. If an evacuation order is confirmed, then they will send out a separate message as “go” when it’s time for our neighborhood to evacuate.
-
Data coming through apps and the city alert system is not always up to date or reliable. If you find yourself in a position where you don't know what to do and you’re asking yourself “when do I leave” the answer is, if you have a place to go, then go before they give the order. If you don’t or can’t, then be ready with your go bag and two planned evacuation routes. Get in your car and just drive to a safer area to wait out the emergency.
AIRVisual
This app Primarily displays PM 2.5 but if you use the map function you can deduce wind direction and if you are downwind from a fire
